Congratulations and thanks to Jan and Arnie from Love South Chingford for organising and participating in the re vamp of all of the flower beds in our High Street, all of the volunteers worked very hard this weekend planting dozens of flowers in the beds and they look amazing and really uplift the area. We would also like to thank Northfields Nurseries, Lily's Florist, Bonnie's Florist and Waltham Forest Council for donating flowers and compost and local council employees including Paul Tickner and our favourite Tommy! who helped to deliver, dig and clear up. We would also like to mention and thank our two youngest members pre schoolers Esther and Gabriel for helping plant the flowers. SCCL helped advertise this for us so thanks to them and we advertised this on street life and our website. Over a dozen local residents and local business owners turned up across Saturday and Sunday morning to help. Thanks to all of you, Spring has sprung in South Chingford!!!
We are planting up the raised flowerbeds next weekend 12th and 13th March. If anyone would like to join us in this, I'll be in the Community Library at 10.45am ready to plant between 11am - 2pm on both days. We can then look forward to some colourful beds in the summer!! If anyone can make it either to help or just to say hello, we'll look forward to seeing you. Thank you. Jan.
